Thank you for agreeing to write a letter on behalf of the University of Houston student applying to the UHAND Education Program. UHAND is a long-term, collaborative partnership between the University of Houston and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center that supports and stimulates excellence in educational programming and innovation in research designed to affect health equity among racial/ethnic groups disproportionately affected by cancer disparities. UHAND scholars (undergraduate students and doctoral students) in the Education Program will learn and engage in the lab, classroom, and community through various research, educational and interactive service learning experiences.
