UHAND works in conjunction with ongoing University of Houston, MD Anderson Cancer Center,
and community partner organization activities. The Community Partners Network provides service learning opportunities for our scholars-in-training and are in integral part of their mentoring team.

Brighter Bites is a nonprofit that delivers free, fresh fruits and vegetables to schools and families, while teaching them how to use and choose a different kind of fast food.  Their volunteers come from the schools to make the program sustainable and bringing people together.

Fundación Latinoamericana de Acción Social provides education, HIV/STD's counseling & testing, treatment referrals for Latinos affected by HIV/AIDS. They host education seminars and health fairs at a variety of locations, including churches, civic organizations, consulates and even on-street corners.

Manos Abiertas a la Comunidad promotes community development by helping with their basic needs of food, health, training, preventative health tests and resources, with a focus on awakening the concern to improve through knowledge and new skills that allow them to achieve better opportunities.
