UHAND Scholars Application
Successful applicants to the UHAND program are committed to a career in cancer disparities research, and have excellent educational preparation, performance, and intellectual aptitude.
The selection process is highly competitive. Scholars will be selected based on their potential for success in a cancer disparities research career.
Applications for the UHAND program are accepted from undergraduate and doctoral students.
Applications will be reviewed in early spring, with appointments to begin in June. A full application packet will include the following:

Personal statement with a description of professional goals, short- and long-term research interests, and mentor choices

Two letters of recommendation (one from mentor, if already identified)

Unofficial transcript
After initial application review, selected applicants will be invited to an in-person, phone, or video conference interview. Successful applicants will then be notified for final selection to the program.
We will not be accepting applications for our 2019 cycle.
